Whether you bring your own bikes or use the bikes from the Emsland-Camp, which you can easily book online, you can explore the area around the campsite.

Our site is suitable both as a starting point for your bike tour or as a destination for a relaxing vacation. Whether in a Swedish house, in a tent or on one of our many other pitches.

Excursion destinations by bike

Families with children have great excursion destinations for young and old just a few kilometers away. In addition to the Schloss Dankern vacation park (with high ropes course, water skiing and adventure mini golf), the Baggerpark is just 4 km away. There you can ride excavators and quad bikes, there is a bistro and a playground. The Dutch border is just 3 km away by bike. Right on the border you will find the Veenpark, Bargerveen or Klazienaveen. In Fehndorf itself, just 4 km from Emsland Camp, you will find the Büter alpaca farm, where you can feed the alpacas, take a walk with them or even take photos.

Route planning made easy

Fehndorf is integrated into the cycle hub network, a flexible and intuitively usable system of a well-signposted route network. With more than 3,500 km of cycle paths in the border area between Germany and the Netherlands, the cycle junction network is equally suitable for spontaneous cycle tours and pre-planned excursions and can be used for the uncomplicated creation of themed routes.
Whether a short day trip or a cycle tour lasting several days, the junction system makes it easy to plan cycle tours and allows spontaneous changes to the route.

Along several junctions, you will be shown numbers that you can follow. You can plan your route using the junction cycle map, the Komoot website or the Dutch app Fietsknop.

You can also find both the cycle map and the route planner at our reception.

Our campsite is also on the route of the 2-country tour, which leads through the German-Dutch border region.

No bike with you?

We also offer you the opportunity to hire bikes on site. You can do this quickly and easily via our rental portal and nothing stands in the way of your bike tour!

There should be something for everyone. We have e-bikes, Dutch bikes and even cargo bikes that you can use to take your dog or child with you.

Then why not stay a few days longer at our Emsland Camp? Our Schwedenhäuser, for example, are the perfect sheep site with everything you need for your cycling vacation.
But we also offer pitches for camping, so there’s something for everyone.

If you don’t want to travel by bike, you can also spend the night on one of our pitches for motorhomes and caravans and hire bikes on site.
